Meet Charis!
After falling in love with debate at the first tournament she watched, Charis competed in Stoa for five years. During that time, she participated in every speech and debate event that Stoa offered, including multiple wildcards. She broke to speech finals in a variety of events including Apologetics, Extemporaneous, Expository, Interp in a Box, Impromptu, Open Interpretation, and Oratory Analysis, finishing her career by competing in Extemporaneous finals at the national tournament. During her senior year, Charis placed in the top two Lincoln Douglas Speakers at seven tournaments, eventually going on to become the season-long Lincoln Douglas Speaker Champion and Speaker Champion at nationals. Charis won Lincoln Douglas and Parliamentary Debate finals at numerous tournaments during her career. Inspired by her love of debate, Charis holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science. When she is not coaching, Charis enjoys practicing flute, piano, and voice, organizing events, working at her Church, and working as a construction estimator.
Having competed in every Stoa event, Charis has grown an appreciation for a broad variety of communication skills and styles. Whether you're looking for tips on interp blocking, improving your apologetics content, organizing extemporaneous speeches, or brainstorming platform ideas, Charis would love to help you reach your full potential! However, her deepest love lies in equipping students to thinking critically, research effectively, and execute high-level debate strategies. With years of competitive debate experience, she has coached teams to first in the nation and qualified first-year debaters to nationals.

Semester Package: $50
Students can get their cases or speeches reviewed 5 times in the semester with our discounted rate!
