Gabriel Linn

Meet Gabriel!

As the younger brother of several Stoa speech and debate competitors, Gabriel grew up watching his sisters compete in interps and his brother debate in Lincoln Douglas for years before he started competing himself. After a career that spanned seven competitive seasons and five nationals, he is blessed to look back on a lot of success and growth. Participating in multiple speech formats primarily, LD always seemed like it wasn't in the cards, but after several years of competition in Gabriel's junior and senior year his debate career took off, having two very successful seasons with several finals rounds and LD championships. Junior year ended with a national rank of 5th place for the entire year and several speaking awards. During his senior year, Gabriel attended 13 tournaments in Lincoln Douglas and consistently placed in the top ten with winning records at each one leading up to the national tournament. At nationals, he survived seven elimination rounds and placed 6th at the most competitive tournament of the year. But regardless of the success, one thing was always consistent: a love for debate and a passion to keep learning and growing which he hopes to pass down to the next group of debaters!

Gabriel is attending college with the goal of getting his masters in counseling psychology so that he can keep mentoring students as they navigate high school.

After competing in multiple speeches including interps, platforms, and limited prep events as well as Lincoln Douglas and Parliamentary debate, Gabriel has had a well rounded career as a speaker, but LD will always remain the favorite event. He looks forward to equipping students with the skills to think, speak, and debate with excellence, passion, and integrity with the ultimate goal of glorifying God!
